Q I'd like to make a suggestion for a topic for an upcoming seminar - who should I send my request to?
A Input from our customers is always important. Please send an email to marketing@dickerson-group.com with your suggestions for a seminar or anything else you'd like us to know about.
Q Where can I find out about the CE credit seminars at the Dickerson offices?
A The upcoming seminars are posted on the website in the Calendar section and posted in our newsletter. Also, prior to each seminar a mailer is sent out to all brokers on our list with signup information. Not getting anything in the mail? Q Who is my broker rep?

Underwriting
Q How long does it take to get a group approved?
A For small groups the general rules are that once received by Dickerson in our underwriting department, we can turn the group around within 48 hours - this means that the group is either submitted to the carrier or returned to the broker/group for additional information. The broker is notified by email or fax (you can indicate a preference) when submitted. Then the carrier usually takes 48 hours to either approve/deny or request additional information. So the more complete the paperwork is at the beginning will help expedite the approval process.
Q What can a broker do to help expedite the underwriting process?
A Attention to detail is important. Make sure all the necessary paperwork is attached: - DE6 or ownership documents - ensure group meets participation requirements of the carrier - enclose the initial premium check along with a copy of the quote - complete employers application including worker's compensation information if required - fully completed employee applications including socials for themselves and dependents if applicable and decline - enclose prior carrier bill with dates of coverage for each employee
